New Law:
Illinois has passed new laws effective January 1, 2010 making it illegal to use a wireless telephone in a school zone or construction or maintenance zone. They also made it illegal to operate a motor vehicle on a roadway while using an electronic communication device to compose, send or read an electronic message. The insurance companies are looking at these tickets as a major violation. This means they are putting it in the same class as a DUI, Reckless Driving, Drag Racing, etc.
